Shorpy Higginbotham

Shorpy was a 14-year-old coal worker. Why is there a photography website named after him? Not sure. Although they may be selling the photos now, I can't quite figure out what Shorpy is, but I think members post photos and can share for free. It's a mixed bag as far as what you'll find, and topics range from 4 X 5 Kodachromes, to Pretty Girls, to Farked, whatever that is. The photos are absolutely huge and downloadable. This site is good stuff. Check it out.

Cyber-Cheap

While searching for an image of the Cybershot I found the camera selling online for as low as $99! Even Office Max is selling it for $109. And I thought I was being smart for buying it from some kooks going out of business. In any case, these are the first couple shots I made with the camera's internal memory, which is just enough to hold five photos. I shoot in both color, and b & w mode. Even if the overall resolution is lacking, I find the exposure range and color quality pretty decent.

Cybershot Revisited

I lost the charger to my Cybershot sometime back. I bought a new one from the going-out-of-business Circuit City for $125. Pink only. For better or worse, the Sony ends up being one of the cameras I use most. I was happy to find these images on the card when I popped it in the new camera.

My archives, if they can even be called that, are a total shitstorm. Its' impossible to find anything. I've tried to organize them, but it seems my system is always in a state of change. One day I'll figure it out. I pulled these photos off of CDs that were simply called "random."
